Here's How to Buy a Home Virtually to Get Your Heart's Desire - Video
Buying a House Remotely in Charlotte NC - Fort Mill SC
Virtual Home Buying in Charlotte, North Carolina
While Zillow offers to teach REALTORS® how to make a virtual tour for real estate, I've got my cameras packed and batteries charged for full-motion video tours, baby! Forgive me if I sound proud here, but I've always felt that a Video trumps a Virtual Tour every day of the week. And yet, here we are, working hard to serve the best interests of those who are relocating to Charlotte.
So, how is buying a home remotely different with a YouTube real estate video guy like me? Okay, here's how to buy a home virtually. Either call me to tell me your story or hop onto RogerHolloway.com and in the Search here, start looking for your dream home. Once we identify the right property for you in our virtual home buying exercise, we discuss your time frame.
What to Do When Buying a House Remotely
If you're a ways off, you keep looking and receiving updated properties as they come on the market. You can also use my YouTube Real Estate Channel here to see if I have neighborhood tours of those that caught your attention. For instance, at YouTube.com/RogerHolloway, you can type a community into my YouTube channel Search bar. If I have a tour of your preferred subdivision, check it out! If not, ask me to go shoot one of the neighborhoods and if there's a particular house for sale within it, ask me to point it out during the video tour. New construction neighborhoods only, please. If you want a resale home or neighborhood, I will involve one of my Broker-Partners to do the same for you!
Feel free to call me anytime to talk more about your search and your story. Any updated thoughts on your move? 704-345-3400
If you're ready to move in 30-60 days, that's a different story. Why? Well, the house you like today will not be available if you're a year out from purchase. But, if you're a ready, willing, and able buyer now, I can step it up a couple of notches. For instance, because the home is vacant, I can go to shoot a full-motion video tour and narrate my thoughts as I do. I can even do a second video of how that particular home fits into the neighborhood. Check out this short video REALTOR® review from a couple who bought their home, sight unseen (except for my video tours), all the way from California.

So, if someone is offering only an old-fashioned Virtual Tour (or even a hard-to-navigate 3D Matterport tour) with their Amazing Virtual Home Buying Program, give me an opportunity to compete with a video like the one you see in this blog post about how to buy a house during a coronavirus pandemic or any other time. I'd love to serve you (and I need to get out of the house)!
Buying Virtually From a YouTube Real Estate Video
The Charlotte, North Carolina metro real estate market must include these important areas.
-Lake Norman, including Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, and on the west side of LKN, you've got Denver (lots of new development). Active adult, think Trilogy Lake Norman.
-Mountain Island Lake, which includes the 55+ Imagery at Mtn Island Lake.
-Lake Wylie, ah, Lake Wylie. You know both North and South Carolina and are even the state line for miles. You're so close to The Palisades, with all the nuances of new construction. Don't miss Belmont and Clover.
55+ Active Adult includes not only the aforementioned Trilogy Lake Norman and Imagery at Mountain Island Lake, but also Treetops (closing our new homes in 2021), Del Webb Carolina Orchards, and Cresswind Charlotte. Those are my big five 55's (oops, add Bailey's Glen, still selling new), but the smaller ones are really hopping too. Heritage in Indian Trail-Wesley Chapel, Pinnacle at Wesley Chapel, Fort Mill's Millbank (golfer's delight), Westport, and The Cottages in Pineville (closeout for new). Oh, and all of the Epcon Communities' Courtyards @ developments.
And then there's the progenitor, the big gorilla in the room, namely Sun City Carolina Lakes from Del Webb with well over 3,000 homes and a golf course. They're all resale now, but really worth taking a look at.
So, what say you? Ready to go? Are you going to let me help you get your heart's desire? For some of you, that is getting out of New York or New Jersey. For others, it's joining your children (and grandchildren) in the greater Charlotte area. And, some of you are retiring and relocating to the South. Don't go to Florida, that's too far and too hot! Charlotte's just about right. Let's do this.
